Creating a Shaker Pattern

In this session you will learn to use three shaker sounds to make a shaker pattern.

The Egg Shaker

The Egg Shaker is the third sound you will need to make to make a shaker pattern.

It is an aspirated Bidental (rear) Fricative and it looks like this:

Making the Shaker Pattern

The shaker pattern uses the three sounds you have learned in this lesson and combines them in a repeating pattern of four sounds.

It sounds like this:

The pattern is a Sharp Shaker, followed by an Egg Shaker, followed by a Slow Shaker, followed by an Egg Shaker again.
